This blanket box was built during the 1970s by Novy Domov, a furniture studio based in the former Czechoslovakia. Structurally it is in excellent condition: all joints are sound, the catches work well, and the red webbing used to support the opening front panel is in very good condition. As a vintage item, it does feature marks of wear, please see pictures but it is nevertheless absolutely beautiful to look at. It is finished with a striking glossy lacquer which really emphasises the grain of the veneer.
