This wardrobe was designed by Jindrich Halabala and built by UP Zavody in 1950s in the former Czechoslovakia.It has three doors, finished with Halabala's signature chequerboard veneer in beech. Overall this item is in very good condition, however, as you would expect for a piece of furniture of its age, it does show some signs of wear. The clear varnish on the veneered doors has started to peel in a few places; the veneer itself is still in good condition. There are some scratches on the sides. The veneer on the top edge (above the doors) has chipped in a few places. Structurally, it's in good condition. The only real issue I can identify with it is that it seems to come out of square if it isn't on a perfectly level surface, which means that the doors are difficult to latch properly.
